I believe the disregarded Symphony's behavior because they knew she was lonely. If I recall, the edible revealed what you were hiding or your true self. If you remember, when Lakota's grandmother gave Melody the edible they could not get much out of her. Lakota's mother and grandmother remarked on how she had a strong mind. I personally believe Symphony was/is hiding herself. She uses the law and business to hid behind the real person.
