Today, as we sit at the table and give thanks for seeing another year, let us not forget those less fortunate than ourselves.
Let us not forget families who have one less member of the tribe at the table this year.
Let us not forget that there are families eating a meal donated from can goods and staples by people like you.
Let us not forget that a father, a mother, a sister is grieving a loved one on a respirator or hospitalized clinging to life.
Let us not forget to give thanks for the soldiers away from home defending a freedom we often take for granted.
As we take the time to give thanks, let us not forget.
Today I am reminded that I am thankful for you.
