Meet Christopher Flynn

We are headed home to Georgia to the world of Venture, Georgia. I am still working on the map that will go in the front of the book so you can see the town.

Now, for a few points of reference. Christopher is the middle son of Harlan and Maggie Flynn, who retired from the Hardware Store in Book Two, An Untitled Love. Book, One, Technically is Turning the Page with Ethan Strom and Janie Cimoc. She owns the comic book store, and if you noticed, her last name is comic spelled backward. What? I was out of coffee.

Now, on to Christopher.

Oh chile, ain't him fine?

I wanted to do something a bit different with Christopher and give him a job working with his hands. He is a ceramist.

Yep, this right here.

What you don't know is Kaolin, or 'china clay' as it is commonly called, is a hydrated aluminum silicate crystalline mineral formed over many millions of years by the hydrothermal decomposition of granite rocks.

Kaolin is one of Georgia's largest natural resources. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, more than 8 million metric tons of kaolin are mined from Georgia each year, with an estimated value of more than $1 billion.

So, it was natural to make him a ceramist, who actually teaches ceramics at the University in Venture.

Yes, you can get a degree in Ceramics at the University of Georgia.

This also answers a great number of questions about Christopher and what he does for a living, but more importantly, you find out how he made his money and got rich

I look forward to you falling in love with him as his story comes to life with Kenji.
